Engineered eyewear · Made for night driving

Pink for a reason.
To help get you home safe.

Modern LED headlights blast wavelengths your eyes weren't built for. NightVu lenses filter the light that causes glare, halos, and squinting — so the road ahead stays the road ahead.

Why night driving got harder

Headlights changed.
Your eyes didn't.

In the last decade, vehicle headlights shifted from warm halogen to high-intensity LED and HID. They're brighter, bluer, and aimed higher. Your retinas register the change as glare — bright halos around oncoming traffic, after-images that linger, fatigue that builds over a 40-minute drive.

NightVu doesn't dim the world. It filters the specific wavelengths your eyes struggle with most, leaving the rest of your night vision intact.

What the lens does

Spectral filtration, not tint.

Filters the glare

Cuts the 440–470nm range where LED headlights peak — the wavelengths your pupils react hardest to.

Preserves the road

Reds, greens, and warm whites pass through cleanly. Brake lights, signals, and signs read normally.

Reduces fatigue

Less squinting means less eye strain. Drivers report arriving home less tired on the same route.

Story 01 · The drive home from practice

For the parent
who said yes
to one more season.

Soccer ends at 8. Practice ends at 9. The drive home is two kids in the back, headlights on the way down K-96, and a mom who used to love driving at night. NightVu doesn't change the schedule. It changes the part of the schedule that hurt.

"I stopped dreading the drive back."

Story 02 · The long shift back

For the people
who drive
when everyone else
goes home.

Officers, nurses, paramedics, truckers, rideshare drivers. The shift ends and the commute begins — wet roads, oncoming traffic, fatigue already set in. NightVu is equipment, not eyewear. Issued the way you'd issue a flashlight or a vest.

Story 03 · The first night drives

For the drivers
still figuring out
where the road ends.

Sixteen, license a month old, the first time driving home in the dark. Every oncoming car is a flashbulb. NightVu won't replace experience — but it cuts the variable that's hardest to teach around. Parents have been buying these for their teenagers since week one.

Why the pink

"The pink isn't a color choice.
It's what spectral filtration
looks like."

A lens that filters the 440–470nm band absorbs blue and cyan light. What passes through your eye is everything else — warmer, slightly rose-shifted, calibrated. We could tint the frames pink to hide it. We don't, because the pink is the receipt.

Questions

Honest answers.

Are these sunglasses?
No. Sunglasses dim everything; you'd be less safe wearing them at night. NightVu filters specific wavelengths and lets the rest through. Your night vision stays intact.
Will brake lights and traffic signals look right?
Yes. The filtration targets the 440–470nm blue/cyan band. Reds, ambers, and warm greens pass through cleanly. You'll see a Stop sign exactly the way it was painted.
Do they work for people who don't drive much?
Yes — anywhere modern LEDs cause glare. Walking through a parking garage, working under shop lights, watching late at the laptop. Driving is the headline use, not the only one.
Do you make a prescription version?
Yes. Every frame can be ordered with NightVu lenses in your prescription, straight from us. Add your Rx at checkout — no separate optical partner, no third-party lab order.
Are they DOT or ANSI rated?
NightVu lenses meet ANSI Z80.3 for non-prescription eyewear. We're working through additional certifications and will publish them as they land.
How long do the lenses last?
The spectral coating is bonded into the lens substrate, not applied as a film. It doesn't wash off, scratch off under normal use, or degrade with sunlight. Frames carry a 1-year warranty against defects.
What if I just want non-prescription NightVu?
That's the default. Pick a frame, check out, done. The NightVu spectral lens ships in plano (non-prescription) unless you add an Rx.
What if they don't work for me?
30 days, full refund, no questions. Mail them back in any condition. We'd rather know they didn't work than have you keep them in a drawer.
